Catherine Bowers

Expect great things from singer-songwriter, Catherine Bowers in 2010. With a full earthy voice, Catherine sings and writes from her heart.

Her first two albums, a double dose of woman’s intuition and wisdom, were released independently in the Fall of 2009. Catherine sings in her own distinct style, dubbed urban twang, on her debut EP, “No It Ain’t Over Yet”, scheduled for release on CD Baby, the largest independent distributor of music online. Her publishing CD “Going to the Good Side”, showcasing some of Vancouver’s top female artists, introduces Catherine’s growing catalogue of original music.

To coincide with her CD Release, Catherine and her friends staged a benefit concert for the Looking Glass Foundation of BC, a charity that aids young women struggling with anorexia and bulimia opening a new residential treatment facility on Gabriola Island. Held on October 24th, 2009, the concert raised awareness and $4000.00 for the cause.

Grateful for the gift of music, Catherine is dedicated to giving back and is donating 50% of the proceeds of the tracks “Everywhere” and “I Needed an Angel” to MADD Canada and the Looking Glass Foundation of BC, respectively.
